Arthurian Casino - First Impressions
Arthurian Casino compares to the Excalibur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The "knight" theme is similar, as is the quality. The Excalibur is a big step below other casinos on the Strip. The same can be said for Arthurian Casino in relation to other online casinos. It's open for business, but why would you want to go there?
With only 54 games to choose from, casino gamblers have much fewer choices at Arthurian Casino than at other online casinos. The quality of the casino games is also very poor.
Arthurian Casino Bonus Baby
The bonus qualification is relaxed at Arthurian Casino, which could be incentive to sign up. A 150% bonus is offered, up to $75. That is, when you deposit $50, your total will be $125 in three hours. You must wager only seven times your initial deposit and bonus to qualify for redemption. This is much better than at other online casinos, where the norm is 10 to 15 times. In addition, blackjack does count toward the bonus, but at a one-third rate. Most online casinos exclude blackjack (and other table games) entirely.
Arthurian Casino - Going for It
I deposited $20, the minimum amount, via NETeller. A $30 bonus should have been added within three hours, according to Arthurian Casino. It actually took just over four hours.
Since blackjack qualifies for the bonus, albeit at a one-third rate of other games, I tried it out. I figured out that I needed to wager 21 times my initial deposit ($20) and bonus ($30), which worked out to $1,050. In a back and forth game like blackjack, it could be done.
Arthurian Casino At the Table
There were numerous problems with the multi-player blackjack table I chose. The pace of play was slow. There were continuous pauses for the dealer to say "Dealer has six, player has 18," as the cards were dealt. The graphics were extremely minimal. The blackjack rules were old school. You could only double down on 9, 10 or 11, could not double down after a split, could not split face cards.
I played two hands, betting $2 per, using basic blackjack strategy. The play was very fair. The dealer seemed to bust at a normal rate. There was no uneasy feeling that the cards were tilted in the casino's direction. This was a nice thing about Arthurian Casino, got to give them credit for that.
Arthurian Casino - Up then Down
After 20 minutes, my $50 turned into $100. But I knew there would be no cashing out, because I had yet to qualify for that. I started playing extra hands and pressing bets. Of course, my balance dropped down to $40 real quick. Oh well, the run at blackjack was enjoyable, although I wanted the play to be faster.
I checked out a video poker slot on my way out of Arthurian Casino. This was very bland and unimpressive. I lost a few spins and decided to test the cash-out option. I had $22.50 to withdraw.
Arthurian Casino - Not an Easy Withdrawal
I applied for a cash-out at the Arthurian Casino banking center. There is a 24-hour pending period, where the money can be re-deposited if the player chooses. After that, the instructions say that a representative will contact you via email regarding what withdrawal method you prefer. I never got an email in 48 hours after cashing out.
On the fourth call to customer service (the first three said to keep waiting for an email), I got some bad news. According to the Vegas Partner Lounge terms and conditions, "Any amount less than $50 will not be cashed out and will be credited back to your casino account."
I think this is absolutely ridiculous. The minimum deposit is $20. The minimum cash-out is $50. The fine print must get people every day. The Vegas Partner Lounge group is basically forcing people to keep gambling at their casinos by making it hard to cash out. Guess I will have to go back to that blackjack table and try again.
